Fishing Runs in the Blood
Captain Kevin Sneed was two years old the first time his father Rodney put a rod in his hands. His grandfather, Bill Sneed, had done the same thing a generation before — standing on the same docks, fishing the same waters off the Brunswick County coast. For the Sneed family, fishing was never a hobby. It was the family business, the dinner table, and the classroom all rolled into one.
Kevin turned that lifelong education into a career on the water — over 20 years running charters up and down the Brunswick County coast. Ten years ago, he opened the Rigged and Ready bait & tackle shop in Supply, NC, built on one simple idea: treat every customer like family, and never send anyone out unprepared.
Today, Rigged and Ready operates out of Supply, NC, serving anglers up and down the coast from Holden Beach to Myrtle Beach. Kevin holds a US Coast Guard 100-Ton Master's Endorsement and runs a fleet of two Contender boats — each one maintained to the same exacting standard his grandfather taught him. The bait & tackle shop at 1096-7 Sabbath Home Rd is open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, stocked with everything from live bait to custom rigs.
